This policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you visit vanvoy.app and join the Vanvoy waitlist. We keep it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@vanvoy.app.

We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect and why

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and at the latest 24 months after you signed up if the app has not launched by then.
- Emails: as long as needed to handle your question, then deleted within 12 months.
- Server logs: for the short period our web host keeps them.
Who helps us
We use a small number of trusted service providers to host the website, handle email and send launch updates. They only process your data on our behalf and according to our instructions, and they are bound by data processing agreements. Your data is stored within the EU/EEA wherever possible. If a provider handles data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved by the EU, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU's standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- get a copy of the data we hold about you,
- have incorrect data corrected,
- have your data deleted,
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by using the unsubscribe link in our emails,
- object to how we use your data, or ask us to limit it,
- receive your data in a format you can move to another service.
Email hello@vanvoy.app and we'll respond within one month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se, or to the data protection authority in your own country.
The Vanvoy app
The Vanvoy app is not yet released. Before launch we will update this policy to describe how the app handles your data, including location, photos and the visibility settings you choose for each night. You will always decide who can see where you've slept.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Bigger changes will be announced by email to everyone on the waitlist.
